PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 571 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Jan 5), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,028,794 infections since the pandemic began.
The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 570 of Thursday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions while one imported infection was logged.
