Spa owner and employees among seven held in drug raid

PETALING JAYA: A businesswoman was among seven people nabbed in connection with drug trafficking following a raid at a luxury bungalow in upscale Tropicana Indah here.

Sources said the woman, who was formerly a Datin, was detained along with six others, including her employees, during the raid last week.

It is learnt that they were detained for various drug offences, including trafficking, and an array of drugs was seized at the house.

"The woman and three others also tested positive for drugs," the source said on Thursday (Dec 29).

It is learnt that the woman is the owner of a chain of spa and wellness centres in the Klang Valley.

Neighbours said they were surprised at the raid, saying the woman kept a low profile and did not mingle with them.

They said police had approached them for information following the arrests.
