Covid-19 Watch: 858 new cases bring total to 5,021,242

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 858 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Dec 22), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 857 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there was one imported case.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 5,021,242 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 3 deaths were recorded on Thursday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,824.
