Cops: Civil servant ‘traitor’ the culprit in prison drug ring

JOHOR BARU: It is a complex tale involving a civil servant, a prisoner and drug-filled tubes not just swallowed but also snugly hidden in underwear.

Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said it all began on Dec 15 when police personnel on duty at the Johor Baru Court complex discovered nine tightly wrapped drug-filled tubes in the underwear of a prisoner already being tried in a drug case there.
