Police arrest man for insulting King over PM appointment


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a man to assist in the investigation into a post uploaded on Facebook insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong regarding the appointment of the 10th Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) secretary Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin said the 33-year-old man, who was arrested on Thursday (Dec 15) by a team from the Perak Hilir District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Department, has been remanded for three days from Friday (Dec 16).
