GE15: No MPs retracted support for Muhyiddin as PM, says Mohd Redzuan

KUALA LUMPUR: No MPs have retracted support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the 10th Prime Minister as of Tuesday (Nov 22) noon, says Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof.

“I’m urging everyone to wait for the decision (by the King) this evening,” the former Alor Gajah MP from Bersatu said.

When met by reporters at Bukit Damansara, Mohd Redzuan said the meeting at Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s house was just a normal one.

Mohd Redzuan also said the meeting was to declare support for the Perikatan chairman as prime minister.

“For any decision, wait for the Istana,” Mohd Redzuan.

Among those spotted at Muhyiddin’s house were PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, and Perak Perikatan chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

In a statement Tuesday morning, Hamzah said Perikatan has submitted 113 SDs from MPs pledging support to Muhyiddin as the 10th Prime Minister.

The King issued an order on Monday (Nov 21) afternoon that leaders of political parties and coalitions will have until 2pm Tuesday to form post-electoral pacts and to nominate a prime minister candidate.
