GE15: Tok Mat takes Rembau with near 20,000 vote majority


REMBAU: Tok Mat takes Rembau with a comfortable majority of nearly 20,000 votes in the 15th General Election (GE15).

The announcement was made at Dewan Sri Rembau here with Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, also known as Tok Mat, cruising to a huge win with 53,075 votes.

Pakatan Harapan’s Jufitri Joha gave a valiant effort but fell short with 33,178 votes.

Third place fell to Mohd Nazree Mohd Yunus from Perikatan Nasional with 21,875 votes.

S. Tinagaran of Parti Sosialis Malaysia only garnered 779 votes while Ramly Awaluddin from Pejuang had 529 votes.
