PETALING JAYA: Free bridging bus services are being deployed at major LRT stations along the Kelana Jaya line to help those affected by the week-long shutdown that affects 16 stations.
These five free bus services utilising 73 buses will be deployed to cover all the 16 affected stations.
For example, at the Ara Damansara station, there will be a non-stop service to Pasar Seni and Kelana Jaya, as well as in the reverse direction.
Similarly, there will be such a non-stop service between Pasar Seni and Masjid Jamek.
Buses that call on every LRT station will operate from Kelana Jaya to Pasar Seni, as well as from Masjid Jamek to Dato Keramat, in both directions.
However, the Kelana Jaya line train services are still operating normally between Putra Heights and Lembah Subang, as well as from Damai to Gombak, though these services will end at 11pm daily.
In addition to the free bridging buses, another 69 buses from Rapid Bus will be deployed to support the bridging services, which are expected to have service intervals ranging from 15 to 20 minutes.
On its part, Selangor has announced that it will contribute 20 Smart Selangor buses starting today to ferry affected LRT commuters.
Details about the bridging bus services and other alternatives can be found at myrapid.com.my or Rapid KL’s social media channels.
