Neelofa, hubby shielding son from public scrutiny

RENOWNED preacher PU Riz said his wife Neelofa (pic) and he had delayed sharing pictures of their son until now to avoid public slander, Harian Metro reported.

The 27-year-old, whose full name is Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, said he was unhappy with certain people who had taken photos and edited the pictures of their son.

“As a parent, I am sad with the attitude of people. If it was me, I would not have the guts to do such a thing,” he said

Neelofa, whose real name is Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor, was upset when a photo and video of her eight-month-old son, Muhammad Bilal, was shared on social media.

The 33-year-old celebrity said she had no issues about people bumping into her family of three in public.

“But please have the courtesy of not taking photos or videos of us and sharing them on social media,” she said.

PU Riz urged all parties to be respectful.

“It is not appropriate to talk negatively about other people’s children,” he said.

> Cosmetics entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman, who was recently charged with uploading offensive contents on his social media account, is planning to release a new song in time for Hari Raya next year, Sinar Harian reported.

The 35-year-old also asked his fans to send their best wishes and prayers as he was doing it for them.

When asked about his case, Aliff Syukri said he uploaded the material out of interest and did not expect it to be blown out of proportion.

“I would like to say it again, I am doing all this for entertainment purposes,” he said.

“I cannot say anything more because it is now a court case.”

Aliff Syukri was accused of four counts of uploading four clips – all in relation to the music video – with intent to annoy others.

He claimed trial before Sessions judge Ahmad Rizki Abdul Jalil on Thursday.

He allegedly posted the content on his Instagram account with the handle “aliffsyukriterlajaklaris” between April 13 and April 21.

The clips were then viewed at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission headquarters in Cyberjaya on April 21.

Aliff Syukri faces a maximum RM50,000 fine or a maximum of one year in jail, or both, if convicted of the charges under the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998.

He also faces a fine of RM1,000 for each day the offence continues after a conviction.
