Crowd chants 'bubar' as Zahid delivers speech at Umno special briefing

KUALA LUMPUR: Chants of “bubar” (dissolve) filled Dewan Merdeka at the World Trade Centre KL as Umno continues to push for national polls to be held as soon as possible.

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said this was not just his call but that of the supreme council and the decision of the general assembly.

“The supreme council has provided the prime minister with a guideline that the general election should be held when Malaysia achieved herd immunity.

“We have already achieved this. So, when (should polls be called)?” he asked.
