KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob is absent from the special briefing organised by Umno on Saturday (Aug 27).
However, the Prime Minister has several official programmes and scheduled commitments the same day.

He was in Bera, Pahang on Saturday morning to officiate the Malaysian Cheap Sales Programme and the retail sector digitisation programme.
Ismail Sabri is expected to be present at tonight's Umno supreme council meeting at 8pm.

He is one of the Umno vice presidents.
Earlier, supporters dressed in red thronged the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur to attend the special briefing.

Among those who spoke were former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's children, lawyer Tan Muhammad Shafee Abdullah and Pengerang MP Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
