SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (AKM) roadshow managed to record the highest potential sales figure, totalling RM22.05mil, among the eight states the programme has been held in so far.
The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry said, in a statement Sunday (Aug 21) night, that a total of 183 business matching sessions were held, in addition to 156 small and medium enterprises and 21 "anchor" companies taking part in the three-day programme that began on Friday (Aug 19).

The Selangor roadshow was the eighth edition of the AKM series. It was held at the carnival site on the grounds of the Shah Alam Stadium and attracted 75,000 visitors, who enjoyed a multitude of activities and services offered there.
Various government and government agency service counters were opened during the roadshow, along with the Kerjaya Jamin Kerja Keluarga Malaysia job carnival and the Malaysian Family Cheap Sale programme held from 9am to 9pm daily.

The AKM roadshow series, inspired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, is a continuation of the successful "100 Days of AKM" programme held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from Dec 9 to 12, 2021.
The roadshow was previously held in Johor, Perlis, Sabah, Terengganu, Perak, Kelantan and Sarawak. - Bernama
