Body found in drain in Bukit Gambir housing estate


MUAR: A body of a man was found in a drain in a housing estate in Bukit Gambir near here on Wednesday (Aug 17).

According to Bukit Gambir Fire and Rescue station chief Mohd Farizan Mokhtar, they received an emergency call on the incident at 7.50am.

He said eight firefighters from the station were deployed to Taman Desa Bukit Gambir, where the body was discovered.

“The victim was pronounced dead by the paramedic team from the Health Ministry who arrived at the scene,’’ Farizan said in a statement.

He said the body was handed over to the police for further action.

Farizan said a Fire Rescue Tender and an Emergency Medical Response Services vehicle from the station were used in the operations.

The operations led by senior officer II, Jahari Syukor ended at around 8.17am.
