Just answer say 'yes' or 'no', Nur Jazlan tells Annuar over agreement for DPM’s post

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Annuar Musa should just answer "yes" or "no" over the existence of an agreement between the Prime Minister and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia for a deputy prime minister’s post, says Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

The Johor Umno deputy chairman said images of the letter, after all, had already gone viral with his signature on it.

"If It was not right, deny it. Don't be a hypocrite and avoid telling the truth.

"The reason I asked Annuar to confirm the agreement along with additional ministerial posts for Bersatu is because the party had mentioned his name as a living witness to the agreement.

"As an Umno leader, the grassroots members and I want to know of the existence of the agreement or is it just an allegation by Bersatu," he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (July 13).

Nur Jazlan said Annuar when confronted by the media, had answered in a convoluted manner and deviated far from the topic.

"For me, Annuar doesn't need to give an answer to the media.

"If you don't want to answer, just say 'No Comment'. That's safer than trying to twist the answer until you don't answer the question," he said.

Nur Jazlan added that some Umno members had asked him if the agreement was real and he could not answer it.

"When I referred it to the party leadership, they said they did not know," he said, adding that it was the reason he asked Annuar to clear the matter since he was mentioned by Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan as a witness to the agreement.
