Eateries fight labour shortage with paroled prisoners, robots


GEORGE TOWN: A critical labour shortage at restaurants and eateries has resulted in operators here hiring paroled prisoners to help out.

Hameediyah Restaurant, one of the oldest nasi kandar restaurants in the country, has hired 50 such prisoners.
