KUALA LUMPUR: The dedication and sacrifices of the pilot and Health Ministry (MOH) personnel who died in the Sarawak Flying Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crash yesterday will always be remembered.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, in a Facebook post, extended his condolences to the victims’ families and prayed that they would be granted strength, patience and resilience in facing the loss.
"My condolences to the families of the victims over the loss of their loved ones in this tragedy.
"What is even more heartbreaking is that they died while carrying out their duties to provide healthcare services to communities in rural areas,” he said.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also expressed his condolences, saying the victims had made significant contributions while serving communities in challenging and remote areas.
Fadillah said their commitment in ensuring rural communities received healthcare services despite difficult conditions reflected their dedication to duty.
"Their contributions and sacrifices are immense and will always be remembered.
"My condolences to the families and next-of-kin affected by this tragedy. May they be granted the strength, patience and resilience to face this difficult period,” he said.
