PADANG BESAR: A total of 20 Bersatu leaders in the Padang Besar Division, including its deputy chief and vice-chief, have announced their immediate resignation and departure from the party.
Besides the division’s deputy chief, Ramzi Md Udi, others include its vice-chief Ramli Aripin, Acting Srikandi (Women’s) chief Fazuwin Razak, Srikandi Muda (Women’s Youth) Chief Nurul Hafiza Ramli and 14 of its 24 branch leaders.
Ramzi, claiming to represent the group, told a press conference here tonight that they had decided to leave the party after careful consideration because they no longer had confidence in the party’s central leadership.
"After examining the situation and holding in-depth discussions with fellow leaders, including the 14 branch chiefs from the Padang Besar Division, we have reached a consensus to resign and leave Bersatu. - Bernama
