SD to back Anwar for PM is real, claims Tajuddin

PETALING JAYA: The statutory declaration (SD) to back Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for prime minister is real, with members of Umno signing in support of the opposition leader, says Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.

In a press conference, Tajuddin claimed that party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi himself headed the gathering in seeking support for the SD.

"He was the 'kepala' (head), and among those who signed were Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz. I am the living witness..I did not want to sign but he (Zahid) was not happy.

"But on the outside, they lied about no DAP, no PKR and no Anwar," he claimed.
