Police probing post with pix of cross dresser in Bukit Cinta, Jementah

SEGAMAT: Investigation papers have been opened on a social media post with purported lewd pictures of a crossed dressed man in a public area.

Segamat OCPD Bahrin Mohd Noh said police received a complaint from an individual who was upset about the man’s behavior on Wednesday (May 11).

“We received a police report on the matter after the post was uploaded by Facebook user Deacon Chai. The photos showed a man wearing indecent clothing and posing sensually at the top of Bukit Cinta, Jementah.

“The complainant was unhappy with the owner of the Facebook account, as he felt that the individual was being irresponsible and was acting indecently in a public recreational area,” he said in a statement here.

He noted that the police had studied the background in the photos and confirmed that it was indeed taken at Bukit Cinta, Jementah.

“An investigation paper has been opened under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 223 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 where if found guilty, the suspect could face a maximum of five years jail sentence or fines or both,” he said.

It was learnt the man involved was previously arrested for committing a similar act near Istana Bukit Serene in Johor Baru.

In February, the police arrested two local men who reportedly took lewd photos in front of Laman Mahkota, Istana Bukit Serene near here.
