PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has recorded 4,046 new Covid-19 cases, says the Health Ministry.

According to data from the ministry’s GitHub data repository, this is the first time daily cases have risen above the 4,000 mark since Dec 18, 2021.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a tweet yesterday that this brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 2,824,973 cases.

He added that a more detailed breakdown of Friday’s daily infections would be uploaded to the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal. — Bernama
