Covid-19: Daily cases expected to reach 30,000 if Omicron wave not curbed, says KJ


KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry foresees that daily Covid-19 infections could reach 30,000 cases if measures are not taken to curb the Omicron wave.

As such, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin (pic) said the decision to temporarily suspend the permission for umrah travel was one of the measures that had to be taken to prevent the spread of the variant.
