New Year's Eve: No fireworks display at KLCC, Pavilion

KUALA LUMPUR: There will be no fireworks display at KLCC and Pavilion during New Year's Eve, says Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya.

In a statement Thursday (Dec 30), he said that patrols will also be conducted to ensure Covid-19 SOP compliance.

"The Dang Wangi police will be conducting patrols at hotspot areas to prevent any activity that could cause large gatherings which prevents social distancing.

"The police would like to inform the public that no fireworks show will be conducted at both KLCC and Pavilion. “This is also a reminder that Kuala Lumpur is still under Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), which has been in effect since Oct 18," he said.

ACP Noor Dellhan added that failure to adhere to the Covid-19 SOP will lead to action taken.
