287 cases of unnatural sex involving young victims

A TOTAL of 287 cases of unnatural sex involving young victims were reported between 2019 and November this year, says Datuk Siti Zailah Mohd Yusoff.

The Deputy Women and Family Development Minister said based on statistics, Selangor had the highest number of cases at 94, followed by Kuala Lumpur (39), Johor (37), Sabah (18) and Sarawak (17).

“In terms of victims, 208 of them were under the age of 16 while 82 were aged between 16 and 18.

“For the breakdown based on gender, 114 of them were male and 176 were female,” she said in reply to a supplementary question from Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli (PAS-Dungun) during Question Time.

Wan Hassan had asked the ministry to reveal statistics of unnatural sex involving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) among youths or underage teens.
