Sarawak Polls: Four-way fight for Batu Kitang

KUCHING: The Batu Kitang seat will see a four-way fight between Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), DAP, Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) and Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK).

GPS' Lo Khere Chiang will be facing Abdul Aziz Isa from DAP, Liu Thian Leong from PSB and Wong Tun Teck from PBK.

Announcing the candidates, returning officer Elizabeth Loh said all four submitted their nomination papers between 9.05am and 9.24am and none were rejected.

Lo, from GPS component party Sarawak United People's Party, is the incumbent in Batu Kitang, one of 11 new seats in the previous state election in 2016.

He had defeated four other contenders then, including Aziz who is now making a second attempt to wrest the seat.
