Penang cops nab six for drink-driving, issue 240 compound notices in five-hour operation on Deepavali eve


GEORGE TOWN: Six men were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Ops Mabuk at seven roadblocks mounted across the state on Wednesday (Nov 3), the eve of Deepavali.

State police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the suspects, aged from 24 to 48 years old, were detained at several locations in the state in the five-hour operation that ended at about 5am.
