‘Yo-yo’ trend of daily cases continues, says Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s daily cases dipped to 447 cases after an increase of 61 infections the day before.

“The ‘yo-yo’ trend of daily Covid-19 numbers continues,” said Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic).

It went up by 61 cases on Saturday to 650, but then the daily number plunged to 447 cases yesterday, down by 203.

“Based on the current trend, this huge decline is temporary and the numbers will go up and down from time to time,” said Masidi.

“Categories Three, Four and Five (serious) cases remain low, two in Category Three, three in Category Four and two in Category Five,” he added.

No new clusters were reported yesterday.

He said apart from Kota Kinabalu, which registered 84 cases, other districts in the state recorded new cases below 50.

However, Masidi added that 78 out of the 84 cases in Kota Kinabalu were those that registered late at two days or more.
