Cases stay below 6,000 for third straight day

PETALING JAYA: For the third consecutive day, the country’s daily Covid-19 cases stayed below the 6K mark as the country reported 5,516 new infections.

This is a small reduction from the 5,747 cases reported the previous day and just slightly more than Monday’s 5,434 infections.

“Another 102 cases or 1.8% are Category Three, Four and Five infections,” he said in a press statement. There are 14 imported cases while the rest are local transmissions.

Of the 5,502 locally transmitted cases, 5,267 (95.7%) involved Malaysians while 235 (1.8%) were foreigners.
