Gyms now allowed to open subject to SOPs, Youth and Sports Minister announces

PETALING JAYA: Gymnasiums are now allowed to operate, says Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Faizal Azumu.

"Please follow the SOPs and especially the ventilation guidelines. Enjoy healthy living!" he said in a tweet on Friday (Sept 17) night.

The tweet was accompanied by a graphic of the SOPs that have been gazetted by the National Security Council (NSC).

According to the SOPs, indoor sports are only open to those who are fully vaccinated.

The facilities are allowed to open from 6am to 10pm, with capacity restricted to 50%.

Besides that, a maximum of 60% of the workforce can be present at the premises, limited to management and operations.
