Fast food worker injured in Puchong as car ploughs into hypermarket

SERDANG: A senior citizen has accidentally ploughed his car into a hypermarket in Puchong.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm A.A. Anbalagan said the car hit a 31-year-old male fast food employee during the incident at about 4.30pm on Wednesday (Sept 1).

"The 64-year-old driver was about to leave the parking area when he accidentally stepped on the accelerator and the car rammed into the hypermarket.

"The car hit the fast food employee who was working at the front counter of the outlet at the time," he said on Wednesday.

The fast food worker suffered injuries and was rushed to Serdang Hospital while the driver was unharmed.

"The fast food employee is in stable condition.

"We are investigating the case under Section 43(1) or the Road Transport Act 1987," he added.
