KOTA KINABALU: The seven Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) fighters nabbed during a special operation in the Sandakan district on Aug 18 might be charged in Sabah before being extradited to the Philippines, says state Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali.
He said they were still in discussion with authorities in the Philippines on this matter, but added that Sabah authorities may charge the suspects under the Immigration Act first.
