Nature takes a rest: An employee watering the plants at Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm at Teluk Bahang in March. The tourist attraction will be closed until Dec 31.

GEORGE TOWN: A butterfly farm will shut its doors and go into a six-month “hibernation” to conserve its finances, besides keeping up with the breeding of wildlife.

A small team of zoologists and breeders would be retained at the farm to maintain the breeding, said Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm chief executive officer Joseph Goh.
