Enforcement on SOP to be stepped up

PETALING JAYA: The Home Ministry has directed its enforcement agencies to step up operations against violations of the stricter SOP which kicks in today.

Over 100,000 personnel have been deployed throughout the MCO for Covid-19 operations.

The police, Immigration, Prisons Department, Rela, National Anti Drug Agency, Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom), and the Malaysian Border Security Agency (Aksem) would be intensifying their operations.

The ministry said the number of personnel at roadblocks would be increased, with checks spread nationwide at business and industrial premises, office buildings and residential areas as well as terminals and public transport stations.
