Dr Wee: Transport Ministry, Sabah CVLB to improve state logistics sector

PETALING JAYA: The Transport Ministry has held discussions with Sabah's Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) to improve the state's transportation logistics sector, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

“Among the matters discussed were several policy related ideas and proposals,

particularly improvement of the logistic sector in Sabah to benefit the industry and public transportation system, ” the Transport Minister said.

Dr Wee added that other matters discussed during the meeting with Sabah CVLB chairman Datuk Chin Kim Hiung at the ministry's head office were the woes faced by the industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added in a Facebook post on Wednesday (April 21) that aid is currently being channeled to school bus and tour bus drivers including taxi and e-hailing drivers.

Dr Wee also said that Chin had provided the latest data on those who had received aid under the government’s Prihatin package.
