Police seeking information on Cheras restaurant fight


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The police are looking for witnesses or information on a fight involving a group of men in front of a restaurant in Damai Perdana, Batu 9 Cheras on April 9.

Kajang district police chief ACP Mohd Zaid Hassan said those with information on the incident are urged to contact the nearest police station or investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Azrul Nizam Zainal Abidin at 016-9985730.

He said in a statement on Saturday (April 17) that the police received a report on the fight at about 11.40 pm on April 9, following which four men aged between 19 and 28 were arrested.

ACP Mohd Zaid added that the men are currently being held in remand and will be released on Sunday (April 18).

He also said that a 27-year-old man was sent to the Kajang Hospital and given out-patient treatment as he was injured in the incident.

A 30-second video of the fight, which went viral on social media showed several men fighting in front of a restaurant.- Bernama
