Three Bangladeshis nabbed for forging passports in Ampang


AMPANG: Three Bangladeshi men were detained for possessing forged passports following a raid at a house in Taman Ampang Utama.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the suspects, aged between 36 and 46 years old, were arrested at about 10.40pm on Saturday (April 10).

"We also seized various equipment believed to be used to produce forged passports including 13 Bangladeshi passports and various fake documents including fake police reports.

"We also seized a notebook, three mobile phones as well as a printer and a computer," he said when contacted on Thursday (April 15).

ACP Mohamad Farouk said the suspects have been remanded until April 24.

"We will investigate further.

"We hope the public will continue to cooperate with the police in supplying information," he said.
