Ismail Sabri: EMCO to be imposed on nine longhouses in Mukah, four other locations in Sabah, S'wak

PETALING JAYA: An enhanced movement control order will be imposed on nine longhouses in Sungai Duan in Mukah, Sarawak, from Sunday (April 11) to April 24, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Defence Minister said the EMCO would also be imposed on the Mukah Polytechnic and Kampung Menuang Baru in Limbang, Sarawak, for the same period.

In Sabah, Ismail Sabri announced that an MCO would be imposed on the Lahad Datu from Sunday to April 24 as well.

He added that an EMCO would be in place in Kampung Muibbah Raya, Tawau, and Kampung Bukit Belacon, Lahad Datu, both in Sabah, for the same period.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said the enhanced MCO at Sekolah Integrasi Ikhwan in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, will end Sunday.

On Ops Benteng, Ismail Sabri said 49 illegal immigrants had been nabbed on Friday (April 9) with 13 land vehicles seized.

He also said that 78 people had been nabbed for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Friday, with four of them remanded.
