KUALA LUMPUR: Police have taken statements from the family of entrepreneur-celebrity Noor Neelofa Mohd Noor over possible breaches of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) at her wedding here on Saturday.
Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said on Tuesday (March 30) they had taken statements from five individuals, including her family members.
On Saturday (March 27), Neelofa, 32, married preacher Muhammad Haris Mohd Ismail, also known as PU Riz, 26, at a hotel here.
Following the ceremony, pictures went viral on social media alleging that the wedding guests did not comply with SOPs.
It was reported that an investigation was underway in connection with a possible breach of SOPs.
After months of speculation over their nuptials, Neelofa, 32, and PU Riz, 26, officially tied the knot.
The akad nikah (marriage solemnisation) took place in the presence of family and friends.
Before their big day, Neelofa had been tight-lipped about her relationship with PU Riz.
