Singaporean singer Aisyah Aziz tied the knot with Dr Mohd Fakhrudin Amir Mohd Ismail on April 11.

The news was announced by Mediacorp radio station Warna 942 on social media on the same day.

“Alhamdulillah, they are now husband and wife,” Warna 942 wrote in Malay, posting a photo of the couple dressed in white and wishing them “a happy marriage”.

According to mStar, The Star’s Malay-language news portal, the couple reportedly got married in Singapore in the presence of family and close friends.

Aisyah, 30, the sister of Malaysia-based Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz, 34, wrote on social media on April 12: “Embracing a new beginning inshallah please honour us with your prayers.”

She disclosed in February that she would be tying the knot after Hari Raya Puasa.

She did not reveal details about the matter, only saying then that her future husband is not from the entertainment industry.

According to a Malaysian daily, Dr Mohd Fakhrudin Amir is the brother of Haris Ismail, a prominent religious figure in Malaysia whose wife is popular Malaysian TV host, actress and entrepreneur Neelofa.

The 36-year-old mother of two posted on Instagram on April 12: “Off to Singapore to celebrate love and family! So happy to be part of Aisyah and my brother-in-law’s special day.” – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
