IPOH: Former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun tied the knot in a simple ceremony at Lambor Kanan in Bota on Saturday (March 12).
Mohamad Fuzi married Co-operative Malaysia Institute senior director (entrepreneurship and business) Puan Sri Noraesyah Shaari at a mosque in Seri Manjung around 11am.
The couple, dressed in champagne-coloured wedding attire, were happy that they were able to hold the reception despite the pandemic.
"We are glad that everything went smoothly according to the standard operating procedure.
"We have known each other for some time and I am glad that we finally got married," he said on Sunday (March 14).
The former IGP retired in May 2019 after replacing Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar in September 2017.
He was previously married to Puan Sri Azizah Hamdi, who passed away at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre in December 2017.
Mohamad Fuzi's sister, Noor Hafizah Harun, said she was glad that her brother now had a life partner.
"It has been four years since his previous wife passed away.
"As a family, we are glad that he has found the love of his life who will be with him forever," she said.
