PETALING JAYA: The government will further empower the leadership of the thousands of Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) nationwide through the relevant ministries and agencies, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The Prime Minister said that the 8,274 KRTs nationwide have been the backbone in carrying out unity programmes by the government in neighbourhoods, although they were initially set up for the purpose of keeping neighbourhoods safe and peaceful.
