PETALING JAYA: Initiatives and intervention measures under the Malaysia Road Safety Plan 2014-2020 have contributed to the reduction of road accident fatalities, the Transport Ministry announced.
It said death rates went down on an average of 4.8% annually from 2016 to 2019. The number of such deaths in 2016 stood at 7,152, going down to 6,167 in 2019.
