EMCO at Simpang Renggam Prison to end on Sunday (Feb 14) as scheduled

PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced movement control order at Simpang Renggam Prison and its staff quarters will be lifted on Sunday (Feb 14).

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, so far, health authorities had screened 476 people, of which 294 individuals tested positive.

As of Feb 11, there were only two positive cases reported.

"Health authorities also reported a downward trend in the number of cases and the situation there is under control.

"Following advice from the Health Ministry, the government has agreed to end the enhanced MCO at the locality as scheduled on Feb 14," he said.
