PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 4,571 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday (Feb 4), taking the number of confirmed cases in the country up to 231,483, says the Health Ministry.
In the same 24-hour span, 17 people had died to Covid-19 while 4,092 patients had been discharged.
Malaysia’s Covid-19 death toll is now 826.
The number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country since the pandemic began is 181,886.
There are currently 48,771 active Covid-19 cases that are being treated at the country’s hospitals and quarantine centres.
Of that figure, 308 patients are in intensive care units, with 135 on ventilator support.
