Red hot Ferrari up in flames near Butterworth


BUTTERWORTH: A Ferrari had to be written off after it caught fire along the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway in Seberang Jaya here.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department officer Supt Nafis Ariff Abdullah said they received a distress call at around 2.10pm Wednesday (Jan 27).

“When the Fire and Rescue team arrived at the scene, it found that the Ferrari 430 was already 80% destroyed.There were no victims involved, ” said the Department in a statement.

It added that the fire was extinguished by the Sungai Puyu voluntary firefighting squad before the fire engine arrived at the location.

“The firemen performed follow-up action at the site, and the operation ended at around 3pm, ” he said in a statement on
