Meanwhile, in KOTA BARU, Kuala Krai deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Kamarulzaman Harun said the participants of the "4x4 New Year" expedition to Lata Y Hulu Tembeling, Kuala Krai, went through some anxious moments when they were trapped near Mengkebang, as the path out of the place was covered in mud following heavy rain.

He said all the participants had to spend the night there on Saturday (Jan 2) before they were rescued Sunday.

"So far, 40 vehicles have been brought out using bulldozers and the process is going well. We believe all 100 vehicles would be brought out soon," he said.
