Feel the Pulse of city bus routes with new app

PETALING JAYA: Commuters frustrated at not being able to plan their journeys using city buses will get some relief with the launch of the new Pulse app.

The Pulse app, an acronym for "planning your lifestyle efficiently", was unveiled by Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, the parent company of Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus, operators of the bulk of urban rail and bus routes in the Klang Valley. It was launched here Thursday (Dec 17) and the app can be downloaded from Google Play Store next week and on the Apple App Store by the end of the year.In the first phase,

Pulse covers the MRT, LRT, KL Monorail, Sunway BRT, buses under the Rapid KL brand, including the MRT feeder buses.

The app will cover the bus networks in Penang and Kuantan by the middle of next year. The most useful feature of PULSE is its ability to provide good estimates of bus arrival times at the various locations, a long standing bugbear of public transport users in Malaysia.
