Illegal gambling den busted

SERDANG: Police busted an online gambling den disguised as a snooker centre in Seri Kembangan.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Razali Abu Samah said the syndicate used a room labelled “for staff only” at the centre to avoid detection.

“We raided the place at 9pm on Saturday and detained eight people. We also seized 14 laptops and RM443 in cash, ” he told reporters.

“The syndicate installed CCTVs all over the location and monitored the situation using a tablet phone.

“Only regular customers were allowed to enter the gambling den, ” said ACP Razali.
