Blood supply running low as donation drives stall


PETALING JAYA: The rising number of Covid-19 cases in several states has resulted in the cancellation of a number of blood donation campaigns, causing a depletion of blood stock.

National Blood Centre transfusion specialist Dr Nosasrina Ishak said that these scheduled mobile campaigns make up about 80% of blood supply.
