Former Umno supreme council member Lokman arrested for criminal intimidation

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam has been detained by police.

It is learnt that Lokman was arrested under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

On his Facebook page, Lokman requested for a lawyer to go to Bukit Aman as he has been arrested.

"I hope a lawyer can come to Bukit Aman and meet investigating officer Insp Nasir.

"I am held under Section 506," he posted on Facebook around midnight on Monday (Nov 2).

When contacted, Bukit Aman CID deputy director Deputy Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid confirmed the arrest.

"The CID director will issue a statement soon," he said.
