MIRI: There have been seven new Covid-19 cases and seven suspected cases in the city in the past 24 hours, says the State Disaster Relief Management Committee.

It said in a press statement on Friday (Oct 30) that the new positive cases included two health workers in a government clinic here.

The other five positive cases are local infections resulting from close contacts of positive cases with a recent history of travelling to high-risk zones.

In the press release, the Committee added that the suspected cases under investigations are those being quarantined and those traced from contacts with other cases.

Miri Hospital now has 12 positive cases in the isolation ward.
